Doves on a Branch — Murano Glass Sculpture

Five doves along a single branch, thirty centimetres of glass balanced so carefully that the whole thing seems about to sway. It is the most architectural of our dove pieces — less a figurine than a small sculpture, and one that reads beautifully against a window where the light can come through from behind.

Every bird is made individually and then joined to the branch by hand while the glass is still molten. There is no way to rush it and no way to repeat it exactly: the spacing, the tilt of each head, the curve of the branch are decided in the moment.
