Seven centuries of Murano tradition, and someone finally made it play. Toys is a collectible art figure in opaque Murano glass — a small, defiant character in glossy white and black, designed by Antonio D'Amato — that takes the same mastery poured into chandeliers and vases and turns it into pure mischief. Part sculpture, part designer toy, entirely one of a kind.
Each Toy is hand-blown and modelled entirely by hand on the island of Murano in lustrous opaque glass — the milky lattimo the island has prized since the Renaissance — with crisp black detailing. There is no mould for a face like this: every scowl, every stripe, every hat is shaped by the maestro's own hands, so no two characters are ever quite the same.
And Toys is yours to compose. Choose your character across three elements:
- Head — Rabbit, Viking or Bowler hat
- Expression — Silly, Sarcastic or Angry
- Body — Stripes, Leaf or Belt
Mix them into the character that's unmistakably yours, in your choice of two heights. However you build it, Toys is a rare thing: a serious feat of Venetian craft with a wink — a conversation piece for a shelf, a desk, or a collector who has everything except a sense of humour cast in glass.
