A full moon of glass. Disko abandons the classic silhouette of the vase altogether: a perfect sphere, mouth-blown on the island of Murano, its surface veiled in a soft satin finish that makes the amethyst colour glow from within rather than shine. Fine engraved lines curve across the body like meridians on a small planet — traced by hand in the cold workshop, one pass of the wheel at a time.
At thirty-seven centimetres, Disko is a sculpture first and a vase second: place it on a low table, a bookshelf or a windowsill where the light can move across its satin skin through the day. Like every piece we sell, it is shaped without moulds by masters who have inherited seven centuries of Venetian glassmaking — no two spheres will ever wear exactly the same veil.
