Gala — Murano Glass Vase
Gala is glass in a celebratory mood. Full, rounded bodies of luminous coloured Murano glass, ribbed from top to bottom in crisp, straight flutes that gather the light and throw it back in bright vertical lines — like sunlight caught in a pleated silk gown. It is a vase that seems to hum with colour, made to lift a room the moment it catches the eye.
The straight ribbing — rigato dritto — is worked into the glass while it is still molten, each channel drawn true and parallel entirely by hand. It is the ribs that give Gala its life: they turn a simple silhouette into a play of light and shadow that shifts as you move around it, and make the transparent colour glow deeper where the glass folds. Mouth-blown and shaped entirely by hand on the island of Murano by masters who have inherited seven centuries of Venetian glassmaking, no two are ever quite alike.
Choose sunlit Yellow or warm Orange, in the taller elegant form or the smaller rounded one — one alone is a burst of joy on a shelf or table, the pair a small festival of colour.
