Saturno — Murano Glass Vase
Four centuries ago Galileo climbed the bell tower of San Marco to show Venice his telescope — and when he turned it to the night sky, Saturn revealed its impossible ring through hand-ground glass. Saturno closes that circle: a sphere of deep matte black, satin-finished until it swallows the light, circled at its equator by a single ring of clear crystal that glows like the planet seen through that first lens.
The ring is not applied — it is uncovered. The sphere is blown in black glass over a heart of clear crystal, veiled by hand in a soft satin finish; then, in Murano's cold workshop, the maestro carves a band around its equator, grinding the night away wheel-pass by wheel-pass until the crystal beneath shines through. Shaped without moulds by masters who have inherited seven centuries of Venetian glassmaking, every ring is cut freehand — no two orbits ever trace the same line.
Saturno comes in three diameters, from a commanding centrepiece to two smaller moons. And it does not orbit alone: with Disko, our satin amethyst moon, and Marte, the red planet, it completes a solar system of Murano glass — three spheres, three atmospheres, one sky for your interior.
