Treccia means braid, and the surface earns the name honestly — bands of grey-blue glass woven over and under one another around the body, the way hair is plaited strand by strand, except each strand here is molten and has to be worked while it still moves.
Tall or small, the braid runs the full height of the piece, dense enough to read as texture from across a room and clearly hand-worked up close.
