A floor lamp is the easiest way to give a room a centrepiece without touching the ceiling. Ours stand between one and a half and two metres tall, hand-blown on Murano — light you can move, and a column of glass that holds the corner of a room the way a great entrance holds a doorway.
Choose the mid-century ease of Loren, the Hollywood curves of Monroe, or the striking six-plus-one-light column of Leshalles. Each is made to order in any colour, from pure crystal to gold, red or violet.

Choosing a Murano Glass Floor Lamp
A column of blown glass
A floor lamp asks more of the glassmaker than any table piece: the stem is blown in sections, each one shaped and joined while hot, then annealed slowly so a metre or more of glass cools without stress. The result stands as an object in its own right, and lights a corner the ceiling never reaches. The techniques are explained in our guide to glassblowing.
Placing it well
Beside an armchair, put the lamp slightly behind your shoulder so light falls on the book rather than the room; behind a sofa it becomes indirect light and makes the whole space feel larger. Leave the cable a clear run to the socket and keep the base off rugs that shift underfoot. A table lamp or sconces in the same colour complete the corner.
Frequently asked questions
Is it stable?
These lamps are built with a weighted base for exactly that reason, but glass is glass: choose a level spot away from doorways and thoroughfares, and from the path of a vacuum cleaner.
Can I choose the colour?
Usually yes — floor lamps are blown to order, so colour and often proportions can be adapted. Ask through our custom commissions page and we will confirm what the workshop can do, with price and timing.
How is it delivered?
In sections, each one packed separately in a custom crate, with assembly instructions. Delivery is tracked and fully insured; for tall pieces we recommend two people for unpacking.
