Murano Glass Bowl — Cestina
Cestina — a little basket. The least ceremonious object in the collection and probably the most used: the bowl by the door, on the desk, on the bedside table, that ends up holding whatever a day produces.
Two versions are made. One has a black base with colour laid over silver leaf and a gold leaf insert — dressed, and reads as jewellery. The other is transparent multicoloured glass with Venetian murrine — lighter, and reads as summer. Same size, entirely different temperament.
Eight colours including gold and silver. The obvious first purchase from this collection, and the one most often bought twice.
