Gotham — Murano Glass Vase
Named after the city of spires and shadows, Gotham is architecture in glass: a faceted monolith of Murano crystal whose sharp, hand-ground planes rise like an Art Deco skyscraper caught at dusk. At its core floats a heart of pure colour — deep Ruby or absolute Black — submerged in thick clear crystal, so that every facet becomes a lit window in a dark tower.
Every Gotham is born twice. First in the furnace, where masters who have inherited seven centuries of Venetian glassmaking submerge a core of molten colour in layers of clear crystal — the technique the island calls sommerso. Then in the moleria, Murano's cold-working workshop, where each plane is cut and polished by hand on the grinding wheel, facet after facet — the art Venetians know as vetro molato. There is no mould for geometry like this: count the facets and you are counting hours of a craftsman's hand. No two pieces catch the light in quite the same way.
Choose a single tower as a sculptural accent, or compose your own skyline: two colours and three heights are made to stand together, the way the furnace photographs them — ruby against black, tall against low.
