Germoglio — "the bud" — is a flower caught the instant before it blooms. Designed by Antonio D'Amato for the furnaces of Murano, its full teardrop body rises into a crown of open petals, cut and flared by hand while the glass is still soft — so that every Germoglio opens its own way, like every real flower does.
The floral concept runs deeper than the silhouette: hold it against the light and the colour gathers at the heart of the piece, exactly as it would in a petal. Mouth-blown on the island of Murano by masters who have inherited seven centuries of Venetian glassmaking, Germoglio comes in deep Ruby or warm, smoky Amber — beautiful alone, unforgettable as a pair.
