Lighting
The Murano chandelier as we know it — arms of blown glass, each finished with hand-shaped flowers and leaves — dates to the 18th century, when Venetian glassmakers began combining lampworking (shaping glass over an open flame) with traditional furnace blowing to create fixtures rivalling anything in porcelain or gilt bronze. Our chandelier guide covers styles, sizes and how to choose one for your space.
Every fixture is assembled entirely by hand, arm by arm, glass leaf by glass leaf — which means dimensions, number of lights and even colour can often be adjusted to your ceiling height and room through our bespoke commissioning service. Once your chandelier arrives, our step-by-step mounting guide walks through safe installation from unboxing to first light.
