Every fairy tale in Europe has a version of this frog, and here he is in Venetian glass, crown and all, waiting to be picked up. Seven centimetres, built from murrine — slices of coloured glass cane, each one a flower in cross-section — fused and shaped at the flame.

Made by hand on the island of Murano, Venice using the millefiori technique, unchanged since the Renaissance.
