Giglio — Murano Glass Vase
Giglio, the lily, is Florence's flower more than Venice's — but the glassmakers of Murano have always borrowed shapes from wherever beauty could be found. Here the petal becomes a ribbon of glass pulled long and folded back on itself mid-air, caught the instant before it would have collapsed.
Two colours run the length of the piece, twisting around each other rather than sitting side by side, so the ribbon reads differently from every angle. Choose the full-scale Large, over half a metre of unbroken curve, or the Small for a mantelpiece or narrow console.
