Summer note: like every furnace on Murano, our workshop closes for the Italian summer holidays around Ferragosto (mid-August). Orders placed from mid-July to the end of August may require 1–2 additional weeks of production. We will always confirm your dispatch date by email.
As every piece is mouth-blown and finished entirely by hand, slight variations in colour, size and form from the photographs are natural — and make your piece truly one of a kind.

DESCRIPTION
Elephant — Murano Glass Sculpture
An elephant with its trunk raised is luck in almost every culture that has ever met one — and it is the single most requested animal on Murano. We offer it two ways. In gold, compact and reclining, the whole body wrapped in gold leaf fused into the glass. Or in sbruffi: a technique where coloured glass is flung onto the molten surface in splashes, giving the larger elephants a hide of scattered colour that no two pieces share.
From fifteen to thirty-two centimetres, each one sculpted free-hand at the furnace. The trunk is the last thing the master draws out, and always upward.
