Each sail is hand-drawn into a thin sheet of molten glass and fused to the hull while both are still hot — worked in seconds, before the glass cools and the shape is lost forever. This piece is coloured in shifting tones of blue and green, fading toward clear glass at the hull, so the sail seems to catch both sky and sea at once.
