Sculptures
One-of-a-kind artworks born from fire on the island of Murano. Molten colour frozen in motion by the hands of master glassmakers, shaped over the flame without moulds, following techniques the island has guarded for seven centuries.
The master has perhaps ninety seconds while the glass is still workable. Everything — the arch of a back, the curve of a neck, the lift of a trunk — is decided in those seconds, which is why no two pieces are ever reproduced identically.
